The detail involved in perfecting these sculptures is amazing and admirable. It was quite special to be a part of this photo shoot. Comments/critiques welcome and thank you for all of your comments!
Just had this in the VB and scored it well. The focus is crisp on the static parts of the picture, yet you achieved enough blur on the flying pieces to give a sense of motion. I also like the entire concept of showing a person a work creating...well, you say a sculpture, but it could just as easily be a table leg. Creating is creating. Nicely done.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
Nice action shot. Pleasant lighting, nice clarity, but just enough graininess to make the picture feel alive! I can almost smell the sawdust and feel the wood beneath my fingers!
Very good, full of dynamic action with the woodshavings flying away, there's a clear focus from the diagonals converging on the lathe - including the man's head - and all very well lit. Your talent is starting to really show through in your recent posts Emily.
