On the beach in Juneau, AK a couple of years ago wacthing the sun go down so we could see some northern light actions. Probably on of the most dramatic sunsets I have ever seen. The photo does no justice.
What time was this sunset? Do you recall? I had a friend visit AK and she showed me some sunset shots that were taken around midnight. It was really wild. My sleep patterns would be so thrown off. LOL
The shadowy lines of the hills and land surrounding the lake frame it like a delicate mirror. I like how the light reflects off the calm waters as well.

Thanks for the comments. This picture was taken in August so if I recall correctly the daylight was around normal then. It was probably taken at 8:00 or so. However I was there the whole summmer and I did experience some days with no sunset at all when I was in Fairbanks.
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain
Though not a huge fan of sunset photos, I had to stop and take notice of yours. This is outstanding work and you captured it beautifully and truthfully. Excellent. Thanks.
