These are the most interesting little "critters" ! When I lived in Louisiana there were plenty of them there. They look prehistoric somehow..and yet cute. I love how you were able to take this photo...it's rare to find them just "anywhere"..how in the world did you happen to see him?!And look at him in those colours surrounding him!I love the look on his face!! A beautiful photo!!!
How lucky you were to capture this guy. I love Praying Mantisis. I saw more of them this summer then I ever have in my whole life. They are just fascinating to watch.Your picture is great too!
I enjoy these insects as well, one of my favorite, though the myth of the female devouring the male after mating sends chills down my spine! Very clear and focused image!!!
One of the only insects I care for and you've captured it well in natural surroundings. The only time we ever seem to see them around here is if they've found their way to a screen or the windshield of my car. Like this capture, they never seem to be too intimidated. Well done.
excellent shot of her.. i only see the males around my house.. theyve been finding their way inside lately.. waiting to get one to sit still long enough for me to get a shot.. hopefully i can find a female like this too.. great job.. clarity is dead on..
