Dettifoss - Iceland (and Europe's) most powerful waterfall. Taken at 5am, this was a shot I'd seen the first day I arrived, but it took three days to get the right lighting. I composed with the power of the waterfall in mind, so wanted to include the distant canyon that it has carved out, as well as the flow-lines of the fall itself. Thirty seconds at f/18 allowed the sense of movement, and the lighting was controlled with a three-stop ND grad over the top part of the sky. Hope you all like it! Thanks, James

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

Caught this on the Front Page, thought for sure it was a manip. Truly outstanding capture and a perfect example of what I hope to aspire to and why I joined this site.
