This is a church that was built in Norway without the use of nails. It was taken apart and then reassembled once it arrived here in Rapid City, SD. It sets on the southwest edge of our city. Go to this link to read more about it. www.chapel-in-the-hills.org

A superb capture!! My only regret is that you didn't elaborate more on it's construction and its move to Rapid City.

Well, now it's me who's taking the trip down memory lane Jodie! I have stopped in here many times in my trips to Rapid & the Hills! Until I just read it here however I did not know it was built without nails! That's amazing! It is a beautiful little church & you have a very pretty capture of it with the fall colors all around! I have only seen it during the summer; but this is beautiful! Nicley done Jodie & I'm putting it in my faves! Good work! ~Dan

This is beautiful, Jodi. The history is very interesting. There is information on the FAQs page of Caedes that explains how to post a link if you are interested. Beautiful setting for this church.

I saw something on the Norwegian settlers and their construction in your area not too long ago on one of the travel channels. The design is stunning. The season and this view are just right from you as well.

This is an incredible shot! I would love to see some close ups of just some of the details - the textures and shapes, etc. The fall foliage sets it off beautifully! You look at it and you want to see more right away!
Thanks for sparking my interest to read more about this amazing building.
