A little mushroom that was growing along with some others today. I had to get some very dirty knees to get this one, and thought I would share it. There were a few other types there as well, it was a veritable smorgasmushroom board out there lol.

Looks like an old megaphone they stuck to their ears to hear with Baby Cakes. I think they use it to call worms for fishing bait. I would never have got back on feet without some help. Angle is perfect.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

Jo - Superb macro. It looks like you had to dig a hole to get the camera to such a low angle. The climb down (and for some the more difficult trip back up) was worth it for this shot. Thad

Jo, a very nice and unique capture here. We had Mushrooms encircling our 3 big Cottonwoods at our business this summer and they seemed to be a big hit with people, Many of them taking photos. I must be missing something about Mushrooms.

Anyway you did a wonderful job of framing and capturing this shroom. almost alien looking. Nice job.

Nicely done Jo - how low did you go.
Great detail and I can imagine little mysterious beings living beneath this umbrella.

Well worth the dirty knees

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
