Very nice image. Evokes a lot of different thoughts. but this poem is the first thought. The second was : Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my......
My perspective is not one of forboding...
In the beautiful animation, {Raymond Briggs} "The Snowman", The snowman takes the young boy thru a dense forest that opens up into a clearing and it is a snowman's party!
Definitely pensive standing at the focal point, but I can imagine a clearing and a place beyond that is magical and welcoming...{ Nice work, as always!} You are one of my faves!
Whoa..now that you mention it,this is rather eerie.Makes me think I hear a crunching of snow in the distance-what is coming from down that path.. I like that poem by Robert Frost about "The Road Not Taken"-that also fits this image. One scary view and one contemplative. I like all the trees (whatever you did is super) and the tunnel effect.
