in my opinion, your use of the gaussian blur/transparency technique (at least i think that's what you do) sometimes can be too much, but in this photo it is pulled off perfectly and really brings this to life.. i love the different shades of green and especially the lighting.. excellent job with this

Being innately curious (aren't we all?), I am wondering what the original looked like.

I am still unsure as to whether this is a great photo, or a really good photo.

There certainly is a 'feel' about the image, it does convey a sense of serenity.
I like the composition.
Ohh, and I love the colours ... the touch of purple is demanded by this scene. The greys in the arbor are ... hmm, soothing.
The lighting is superb.

I feel a little 'something' is missing in the image. Just a little. It may be that without being able to view the details of the textures present ... the stone walk, the wood of the arbor and of the seating, the leaves and so on ... and yet knowing that they are present, that I feel something has been lost.

Still, I think ... simply ... 'thank you,' sums it up nicely.

If I happen to pass this place I would just pass. One did take a shot and it really came out good in my monitor. I am just simply amazed how one could make a simple place look nice in a photo. He or she must have a third eye to decide taking a shot at it.
