JoJo, That is amazing how all the trees are reaching out toward the water in unison. After a little study, I think they are shaded out on the limbless side and actually reaching toward sunlight. Either way they are all seeking the same life-giving sustenance. Very unique lighting, comp and subject.

I like the way you shot "out of the dark, into the light"...there seems to be a theme here maybe? :))...the symmetry of the line of trees makes for an interesting view of the lake and the colors. Welld one my friend. Thank you :~)

Nice vantage point as the others have said .. but, tell me .. did you raise your camera and shoot .. or .. meter the sunlit scene and then step back into the shadows?

What a unique viewpoint. The thumbnail didn't interest me so I almost didn't take a larger look at this but glad I did. I'm glad you left some detail in the foreground. A note about the title, it would be best not to begin a title with the word "The".
