During a trip to Memphis and Graceland I came upon this unique establishment that serves not only steaks but also doubles as a tattoo parlour.Talk about one stop shopping!!
Nice editings, Joseph. How do you do the very tiny DoF? (The entrance is perfectly focused and the right is out of focus). I like it a lot, because it attracts my eyes on the most important part of your picture... :-)
The way you took this photo, it's as if we are in the car, stopped at the corner. You have a unique way of always including your viewer in your shot. I like your photo, I like the effect.
I know what this place is supposed to do Joe! When things go wrong with the tattoo'ing you put the steak on to keep down the bruising!!!! ehe! heh!
I love the mood that you have generated to this image...very old 'era' style...I can imagine some of the old 'Bonny & Clyde gangsters going in there!!!!
Now this looks like it belongs in a ghost town Joe! When is the gunfight scheduled? I love the sepia effect you did as well as the angle of photography that you used. I like how it is lighter over the door area, maybe to invite us all in for a tattoo then dinner on the house?
I keep looking at this and wondering if it is level or if my eyes are really tired. It looks like it needs to be rotated a few degrees to the right. Or maybe it is on a hill and you are defining it that way for the viewer. Okay, enough from me~.
Thank you for the cool post.
Thanks also for the visit to ~soft pink~. This rose caught my eye and I bounded out of the car, okay, I walked slowly out of the car to capture it with the sunlight providing the lighting that I like the best. I am glad that you enjoyed it also.
Your support, comments and critique are deeply appreciated.
Steaks and tatoos? Now this is diversified. I like the Sepia effect as well and the reminder that there still are places like this. I guess if they take a long time to complete your tattoo, you will at least not mind since you had a fat steak.
Much better than a shot of Graceland, I know. That color spotlight is beautiful here. I love that there's nothing modern to throw off the dated feel of the shot.
Nice image Joe, I agree with Pierre on this. A nice eye-catcher. Now that I have a new computer, I need to catch up on your other images! Thanks for posting Joe.
