This rock formation is on the backside of Mt. Nebo. The white rocks in the red rock formation are actually cobble stones that were trapped in the sandstone. This has also been referred to as the mini Bryce Canyon.

This is a very nice shot - sharp with vivid colors. I like the appearance of the gray clouds which help to accentuate even more the colors of the rocks. The Mt. Nebo area certainly has some varied scenery and your pics give me the desire to plan a visit there when I take another trip out west. Hope you have even more to post in the future.

The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Nice!
Everything about this is great, but the composition I would have changed a bit. The red wall, as good as it looks, is now too overwhelming to the eye. Maybe a bit more sky, one or two fingers worth. :)

For our dreams we will fight, and we'll write
the future history less bloody than the past,
with our dreams we'll build a peace to last!"
