I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Nice work. It doesn't look either mystical or river-like to me, but that's me. It looks like a boiling sea - maybe from the beginning or end of a world. The slightly disturbing colours seem to fit such a mood of abrupt, cataclysmic change.
WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY
Looking at the thumbnail I thought I needed new specs. Full size it is great - blurred and sharp all mixed up - colours all mixed up - a bit disturbing (I'm distrurbed enough thanks :) ) I can't think why these are in your ehhh folder - this is another interesting and top notch image.
I dunno why this is in your ehhh folder! lol (do you really have a folder called that ??) lol
Nice colours, and much better than i can do in apop! lol I wish someone would do a nice easy tutorial, because try as i might, the stuff ive tried looks ehhhhhhhhhhh!! for real! lol
Ah, so you've been to SE Connecticut? Actually, this is much more colorful than the Mystic River. In this image the form is uplifting in nature because of the smoothness and curls I think.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I'm with Jan on the tutorial thing. I'd love for someone to put one up...even a basic one. I can't get beyond the..OMG-what-is-this stage :) Interestingly enough I have this image blown up to the 12x9 size and the other one you did that looked like pickup sticks (yes, it did bully its way onto my desktop ahead of everybody else) is behind it in a large size so I'm seeing the edges of that with this overlaid on it. Sure makes for an unusual effect. Mr. Cowardly..you've certainly got me covered today.. *smile*
