Beautiful colours and depth here. I think it could be a high-tech portal to other worlds. Or it could be a portal created by mages in a magical land - it reminds me of some descriptions of portals in Mercedes Lackey's work. I hope it is too sparkling with too great a sense of the unknown to be a step back into childhood - I've no wish to visit there!
