This, on the other hand, strikes me as well up to your usual excellent standards.
Beautiful colours and wonderful textures at the front - sort of delicate but roughened at the same time, as though it would be easy to grip the pieces without them keep slipping away.
I see a train coming straight towards me through the tunnel. The tracks, the walls, the increasingly blinding light. There's no escape though I don't really get a sense of fear - maybe because it looks so lovely. On the other hand, although there _is_ "light at the end of the tunnel" in one sense, it possibly isn't the intended one! Maybe, though, this is a magic train, a ghost train, a spirit train... a train that will pass through without harm.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Oh thank you thank you thank you for telling me this! I always need to hear this just about every March -- too early in the school year to start counting days, but feeling the intense urge to just be finished with it all and send those seniors packing. LOL
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Looks like a starlit path to me, Mr. Cowardly. Are you sure this isn't coming from the Wizard's office? As I remember there was quite a long tunnel that you decided to run out of and that glass you jumped through...amazing. Although I'm afraid it has had serious repercussions..LOL...You know I love this.
