This is for the families and friends of the victims in the horrific crime that happened yesterday at Virginia Tech University, it reminds us all that beauty and life are very fragile and must never be taken for granted. My heart and prayers go out to each and every one who is grieving from this unspeakable tragedy. Sincerly......John

How beautiful and heartbreaking this rose is, John. A touching tribute to these poor souls. These massacres are horrific, we had 2 in Montreal in the past, I don't understand these crimes.

A beautiful image and sentiment. I love the colors. I was actually thinking nostalgically about the world as a result of this event when I posted my In a Perfect World. As a school teacher who faces this increasing threat (and I run a program at our school called Safe School Ambassadors), I have been quite affected by the event. I just don't understand why it is happening.
