so why don't my Apop images look like this! I expect I have to be a mathematician to create these images! lol! I like EJ's thoughts on the image - a mad peacock! - yes that is what it is!

I like spirals. People underrate them, I think - almost as if "once you've seen one spiral, you've seen them all" which is a bit like saying, "once you've seen one sunset, you've seen them all". (Maybe spirals should get their own sub-category...)
This wouldn't be my favourite spiral, but I still like it. It has a wonderfully complex featheriness to it, a sense of fluffy fullness. This is a spiral that looks as if it should be shaken out regularly - a bit like a duvet - to maintain its plumpness.
This is odd because usually, if anything, flames look grainier in full view than thumbnail, but this one looks grainy in thumbnail and cleans up beautifully in full view. Neat trick, actually...
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

I love your spirals...no prob. And I'm sorry you and Apo are not getting along; "Bad Apo, Bad! Now you appologize to John right now young lady!" There you go. Now carry on :)
Well, this is lovely! The blues and the oranges seem to be getting along quite well and they pop in this image. Maybe you two ( you & apop) should get some counseling! LOL
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
