"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso

But what are you doing dressed up in that frilly dress for, then? Trying to sneak in amongst the bridesmaids, maybe?
Looks terrific. Fabulous thing to catch - there's surely enough here to share among a whole frolic of bridesmaids. (Not sure of the correct collective noun, there...)
I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.
So this is yours! Got this in the VB before I knew whose it was and I was mighty pleased with the colors and the symmetry against the black. So well done, John.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

This is one of the coolest flames I've seen on this site and that's saying something. It's playful, elegant, complex and very artistic. I hope you saved the settings and can try other colors, maybe with more contrast and saturation too. I couldn't give it a ten fast enough in the VB and now it's a favorite. Very, very impressive work.
John, I like this a lot. Sure would like to have the parameters to play around with! A lot of times, when I have a flame that otherwise stinks, I find that adding the radial blur creates some interesting results. Keep up the great flames!
