wow, i like this. the contrast of colors is especially good here, reinforced by the structure. Classic. P.S.: why the name?

Much appreciated John. :o)

For your creative efforts, first and foremost ... which I definitely think come through here ... and for the insight on the parameters.

No worries, this is a great flame in my mind. And I think that others will agree.

Some very, very nice facets to this one. The reinforcing structure on the extensions of the spiral ... as mentioned above ... bring this one together well.

And it is unique, comparatively speaking to the submissions thus far.

Really nice work John.

Thank you for your efforts and for lending your talents to this challenge. I appreciate it ... as will your viewers. :o)

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Very different. I _think_ I like it but I'm not sure. Definitely interesting and good.

Rasping heat, cracked lips and aching throats... the grey of foliage parched for water... and still the sun beats down, inwards...

I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.

Where the other was smooth to see and soothing, this is a firecracker of a fractal and it reminds me of the Phoenix, rising!!!

This is a great answer to the challenge. I agree with you, the linear on transform one didn't lend itself to much other than a spiral. I don't like linear unless I want a spiral but it was an interesting way to get through the weekend!

Ooooo nice. It almost has a pinwheel quality to it. And these colors work excellent together - I really like that. Nice job John.
