Very cool idea here... the dot of green on a b/w background works well. One thing though.. the filter you used is of the circular variety.. and left a little bit of a cast around your subject. A light hand with a small clone brush would fix this rather nicely :o) Bravo again for the concept.. keep thinking creatively.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
This is my new favorite from you! an excellent photo, using depth of field, creative angle, and selective coloring that works for the shot! nice work.

I'm not a big fan of spiders personally, but I can definitely appreciate a good pic of them. This one, strangely, doesn't instill disgust or fear, but wonder, admiration, and a sense of calm. Very nicely done! Keep it up!
Really cool shot (and super creepy spider). A couple of suggestions though: I think the composition of the image could be helped by cropping it so rather than having the spider centered, put it in the top right corner. I also have to agree with thirdeye, there's a little left over green that shouldn't be there, so be careful when doing selective color type things. If you're using photoshop, learn about layer masks. It will change your life :) There's my ideas for you. Awesome picture though.
