From a holiday (in which we stayed in the Keepers house of that Lighthouse). No special things done to the photo, just one of those rarely occurring nice shots I think! Built in 1901, I think, Blackhead Lighthouse marks the northern headland of Belfast Lough with a sister lighthouse visible on the southern headland. I liked, when I was there, to imagine what it would have been like stood there watching the Titanic leave Belfast in 1911...:) Comments!

ooh, i love the story. i'd love to stay in this lighthouse or at least see it. the tower is well photographed against the blue sky. i like the lattice work around the light, just wondering what the lens is. nice work.

Thank you for all the praise! What's funny is that it wasn't a particularly powerful camera, just a little compact one! I was amazing when I got this photo! It was fantastic staying there, the wind was especially bad one night - you could really hear it howling and when you went outside you could barely stand up! You can tell I had a wonderful holiday! :P
