This amazingly bright orange rose caught my attention like a blazing fire on a cool summer evening. I took my two beautiful children up to the Historic Pittock Mansion that overlooks the city of Portland to take pictures for their dad as a Fathers Day gift, and I couldnt help but stop and shoot some pics of the vast array of gorgeous flowers all over the property. This was the first that stood out on the lovely walk we had that warm early summer day.

It's easy to see why this blossom caught your eye. The contrast of the dark background enhances the flame-like effect. I wish the top of the rose was in the shot. If you're into photo editing you might try recreating the petal tips.

Hi there!! I hadn't looked at your gallery in a while..wow, this is just such a beautiful colour!! I like it a LOT...you are getting better and better, now get busy and DO MORE ok?! many many hugs to you..The center of the rose looks just like the eye and eyelashes of a beautiful lady...well, after all a woman is much like a pretty flower!! I also love how beautiful the green leaves made the background. Nice stuff!!
