I took this about 45 minutes after sunset. I'm still trying to get rid of the 'halos' that appear around the wires that support the bridge. It isn't the easiest thing to do unfortunately. Yes, I've done some editing with Photoshop CS. If I was there to do it over, I'd also use a smaller aperature since the city buildings are slightly out of focus - would or course result in a longer exposure which would blur the cars better also. How did you get to that part of the bridge?

Either way, this is fantastic!

Nice shot, Nice description...It strikes me that you seem to have been on another one of the beams like those visible...small spot over a busy road! I hope I am wrong. Great photo.

Good shot, it's a bit busy with the cables though. As you had mentioned, using a smaller aperture and a slower shutter speed would create a more dramatic image.

Easy the self-criticism...this is a great shot! The cables and composition add to the overall strength and the feeling of motion and energy. Balance of lighting between the sky, buildings and headlight(?) streams is superb! A favorite for me. Gotta love that D70! Go Green!

Thanks for all your comments! There is a walkway that is elevated above the road level and fans out a bit around each supporting tower on the bridge so I took the photo from there.

Looks like we've got a Dartmouth fan/alum out there?!?!

This is an excelent Photo! I wouldn't change a thing. People mentioned the cables being buisy, but honestly, they add to the effect. The diagonal direction leads me to pay attention to the streets below! Love the complimentary color use of blues and yellows. Very clear image as well. Awesome job, 10/10

btw... does NYPD normally allow people to climb around on the bridges?!
