I got the train as it was passing by, and tweaked the colours a bit in PS.. please be honest with your comments!

Light colours are really nice. Good combination of dynamic foreground and static background.
Maybe the overall is a bit too dark, but good widescreen effect.

i think its pretty cool... im sure its pretty tough to get a good clear shot of a city in the night.. it may be dark but if you crop out the empty space, it would be cool for the top of a webpage...good work

Your shots have potential, but they could be better.
You found a nice spot, and good composition. The two tall buildings are at the thirds of the width. And you kept the camera nice and still during the exposure. Perfect timing for the train!
But it's very grainy. The problem is that your camera is too sensitive. The sensitivity is called ISO on digital cameras. This is a common problem for night shots: it makes dark areas grainy, and light spots blurred.
So I suggest practicing with just the cityscape. Try a lower ISO, and if it becomes too dark, try increasing the aperture. That can get a little tricky, though.
I give it a six, but again, this scene has potential. You will master settings for sure, just practice!

The grain does distract slightly at 1600X1200, but I think this is a stunning capture.

I like this an awful lot. I find myself wishing that tree weren't there so the whole thing would be just crisp, wonderful light. Overall beautiful, and beautiful city, too.

Obsessed by a fairy tale, we spend our lives looking for a magic door and a lost kingdom of peace.
