I was looking through some old photos and found this one of an old friend. I have always been a big fan of air cooled VW’s. It was back in the late 80s early 90s when I own this 67 VW Bus we use to haul all the radio control cars, trucks and equipment to race tracks all over California. My wife, our two oldest their friends and I would head out every weekend to at least one race. It was a good thing that I worked at a hobby shop at the time. LOL The original photo was taken with a Minolta X-700 with a 50mm lens at F/8 Hope you like it. Sheldon

An absolute classic friend - I am a car buff - the VW Van is an ICON just looking at it conjures up a slew of images. THX fer sharing

You are an old hippie for sure Sheldon. :) I remember these vehicles from the day. A good post and I was living in California in 1967. It was Riverside and in the late 60's the Zodiac Killer was terrorizing Southern California. Nice post.

Magic bus I always felt this song was made for the VW bus. The Ol' hippiemobile. :) lol Went many a mile in a bus just like that. Thanks for the memories Sheldon. :)

Oh I had one of these once, and it was a pretty pale bloo. So comfy. In fact, I drove it all the way up here from Louisiana to ORegon. Literally the Oregon Trail. I love old cars so much, they have got character, not like the "now" disposable cars!

Hello Sheldon...The original split windscreen VW...I bet you wished you stll owned her....Over here in Newquay Cornwall UK.thier is an annual event on the last weekend in May. It has been running for 20 years and has grown into the largest Custom Car and VW festival in the UK. Thousands attend this event each year.......All the best to you Sheldon.................Mick.
