You can compare this pic. to some of the others I previously posted of the falls & see what a difference in the amount of water there is! This is after a 3inch overnight rain combined with the spring runoff. In the foreground you can see all the foam stirred up by the rushing waters crahing into the rocks on there way by.

I'm surprised they allowed you people get that close to something like that. You wouldnt get me within a 100 yds of that. no sir. Me and fast moving water have a deal going, I stay a safe distance away it wont take me down river....lol this is a nice capture, good job!!

Great Job. Wow, that sure is a lot of water! Beautifully Captured. I love the sound of the water of such a waterfall. Looking at that pic, I can almost hear it and feel the spray. Well done!

I can really tell the difference between the two Dan. Amazing what a few inches of water can do. You can really feel the power of the water in this photo. Very nice on your part.

Not to worry Terri! I was safely behind a guard rail taking this! There were safety personnel & barricades to keep people from getting too close!

That's an incredible amount of water, much more than when I was there last fall. I imagine the water flow is a lot slower now with the drought on. At least it is up here in North Dakota. What I'd really like to see is a shot of the nighttime laser show my adopted mom told me about that the city puts on there at the falls.

Whoa! I never saw this one. This is such a powerful image! I guess that river isn't always so calm. Great capture of this tumultuous waterfall.
