This deer is just one of the many types of animals to be found in Galcier National Park. I couldnt believe this little guy was kind enough to let me get as close as I did, & patient enough to let me get his photo! He was back in a wooded area near where I caught the boat ride. I could almost reach out & pet him, but he would start when I took one step closer, so I was quite satisfied to keep this distance! Thanks everyone for all your visits & comments!!

Fantastic shot Dan ... you were so lucky this young buck let you get so close. He posed so perfectly for you to. I am surrounded by deer & still can't get any this good ... except for the deer mounts that are hanging on my wall .... LOL!!! Very well done.

A young buck with fuzzy antlers. Adorable! Love the shot... and the fact that you were able to get so close to enjoy a peek.

Dan, that was a great shot. I don't know how you got so close but it was worth it.

Like the title and that is one cute little booger. I especially love those ears and their black outline. very stunning. That color deer is a bit unusual to me. Very pretty. Nice post.

Dan it's a really great shot. Your composition and clarity are good. It's a little blown out in the highlights. Wonder if it's possible to slide the contrast a bit in PS without losing any detail. Nice shot. Thanks for sharing. anne :-)

You certainly got close enough to get a great photo of it Dan.I have never seen one this close with the fuzz on the antlers either. He knows a good person when he sees one and obviously trusted you . You also have his undivided attention from the looks of it. Wonderful photo!

Nice shot Dan. The young Buck in velvet is a real good capture. I just learned the other day that my favorite golf course, where I take a lot of pictures, has a doe with trwin fawns. I hope to catch them this week. If I do they will be here too.
