Good one Dan and they should be remembered, I saw a movie some years back with Don Johnson in it I think it was "In Pursuit of Honor" where they were calvary officers at the end of world war one and they were ordered to "Get rid" of the horses because they were outdated. Nothin' doin' they said those horses served proud and brave just like the men and were going to take them to Canada, with the army on their heels. Great Show. My point is YES the horses should be remembered too they were in important part of this nations heritage. Very well done Dan and my hats off to you sir.
Excellent choice of captures. Would have liked to see the marker off set a little. The capture of the ground is noteworthy with it's rich colors, clarity and focus. I'll bet there were more horses than we care to remember that suffered that day.

A great capture Dan... The horses were just as much a big part of the calvary as the soldiers. What would they done without them back then. It is nice to remember them in such an honorable way. Very nicely done.
To me it is only fitting to remember all that helped in such a tragic situation and gave their lives.Very nice tribute to the horses here Dan. It touched my heart also as an animal lover to see they weren't forgotten.
