No, we're not talking bread here. lol I spotted this old house sitting in a bean field during a recent outing. If you look close you can see the privy (outhouse) sitting next to the house on the left side with it's door open. Convenient for those cold winter nights I guess. lol Sky isnt much on this one..overcast day. Thank you all for looking & commenting! Always appreciate it!!

Good one Dan, I like to go up and just look around the old abandoned houses if nobody cares. But I never take anything I figure whats there belongs there. Good job buddy the past is always around us if we take the time to look.

Wow, this goes way back, doesn't it. Looks like a depression house. Probably got repossesed by the bank and they let it go to heck. LOL I like the shot with all the trees on the left and none on the right. Thanks for pointing out the out house. I never would have realized that.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel. -Josemaria Escriva

This reminds me of the houses they show on westerns where you wouldn't have a neighbor for miles around. I love the way the windows look as though they belong in a barn instead of a house from their size and shape.Looks like you found a a hidden treasure here Dan. I bet this would be a spiffy little house if it could be fixed up. Glad you saw it and shared with us.It's sitting in a beautiful place.Into my favs this goes.

You should'a told me you were dropping by. That's my house. I live kinda poorly but the coffee pot is always on. Maybe some of the more caring Caedes members would drop by and help me fix it up. Ya done good capturing this. That little woods intriques me as much as the house. Wonder what's in there? Nice capture.

I looked closely Dan - and I think I can see Bob sitting in there! lol! I thought it must be a barn at first - such a simple little building and makes a really nice photograph. Patti

If it weren't for the house, we'd be homeless :) Very nice presentation Dan with terrific clarity and color. Thanks for sharing this.

A wonderful shot Dan & very nice composition. I love exploring old abandoned places ... they always look so alone sitting there ... sort of forgotten until someone takes notice if only for a moment. I love the rustic look of the house & as for the outhouse you don't see too many around anymore. I have one in an old garage of all places ... spider's now make it their home. LOL! Great job Dan.

Little House on the Bean Field -- new television series perhaps? Looks like the old home is leaning into the trees, taking a break. I can't quite see the 'privy' but imagine that's it's best left unexplored ;o) Very nice photograph (and commentary) that seems to have evoked many happy thoughts and feelings from all who've commented!

You need to get closer on this one. I do love this shot....from across the beans....all flat...and green. The house looks so interesting, I would like to see more of it!
