This is looking the oppositie direction from my previous "Tree Tops" post. Again it is from the lookout tower in Newton Hills state park & shows the more typical SD landscape. Thanks for viewing & commenting! ~Dan

A great shot Dan ... I love how the tree's frame the view. You must of been pretty high up to capture this. I remember SD as having rolling hills in the eastern part of the state & it seemed you could see for miles & miles. Beautiful fluffy clouds also. Very nicely done.

Love the closeness of the trees with the subtle landscape in the background. Excellent work and a great post.

Neat perspective, Dan. That looks like some very rich soil underneath that lush green land. Very nice! There must be something to clone here!! :)) - Patty

Ah ha...as I suspected...there's that flat I've come to know so well in the neighbor to the north..but still, it's a very nicely taken pic, Dan, and I Iike the way you've framed it... but I see foofoo and others have already told you that :) I like the composition and your clarity is good and the colors are crisp in the foreground and gently presented in the background :)PJ

This brings back wonderful memories of put rip to South Dakota! The landscape is some of the most beautiful anywhere. You can literally see for miles in any direction. Great job of showing us that Dan! :~)

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. ~Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit~
