Here he comes! Mud flying, horse snortin', gun smokin', & taking aim! "Wait.. it looks like he's aiming at me!" lol Well, yesterday I posted one of a gal in competition so to give equal time here's one of the guys. During competition riders carry two guns & switch while on the go. They have a total of ten balloon targets & twelve shots to do away with them. That gives them two extra shots to shoot at any misses if needed. In case your wondering this rider got his last balloon..and missed me!! LOL Thanks everyone for viewing & commenting!! Nice action shot. The dust and dirt flying up in the air behind the horse gives this shot a real sense of motion. Good job and thanks for sharing, Don

I wouldn't miss Dan and that'd give me 2 shots to come after you with.LMAO Probably need both too cause you'd be movin' fast.LOL Great job bud, I've never seen the wild west competitions but they have some target comps around here (where you roll on the ground hide behind stuff and try and hit the pop up targets) Too much work,LMAO I'd just stand there they gotta pop up sooner or later. J :-)

Since this was an instant before the shot was fired I'm guessing that a couple of seconds from now you were on a stretcher on your way to have the bullet removed. I can see this whole Monty Python type sketch about 'how to add excitement to the grandstands?-live ammo'. I like the way the dust drifts to the right, the tree leans to the right and the horse and rider angle left.
