While on a wagon ride out to the apple orchard we passed this pumpkin patch. On the other side of the patch you can see another horse drawn wagon heading the other way. Thaks for all your views & comments!
interesting composition
its a little hard to see the pumpkins in some places
i see this is another example of horse drawn farming there :)
its a pleasant photo
Look like Fall has officially arrived in SD with this post Dan. That must be an awfully big pumpkin patch for wagon rides. I bet this was so fun to do. Beautiful Fall colors in this Dan and photographed so well. This is going to be my desktop for the week-end.
This would be great on a calendar for the month of October. I love to take kids to see pumpkins. I think carving them is quite an art and gets pretty elaborate these days. Thanks for this great desktop for the season..now can we get a turkey to run through the patch?
If your're on the way out and they're on the way back then that means they got the apples............. You should bushwack em' Dan. Ehhh maybe that's not such a good idea, they may have some pretty tough kids ridin' along with em' LMAO Very nice job bud, wonderful way to spend a glorious day.
A wonderful image Dan ... beautiful fall colors. It must of been fun to be on a wagon ride & take in all the scenery. Very nicely done & thanks for sharing.
and how much did that little lot cost you at your local store Daniel! I can just see you wandering around the field putting one here and one there! ......just kidding! I have never seen a pumpkin field before so it looks kind of surreal to me! wonderful capture! Now I hope you took one home with you to make into a lantern! Patti

This whole takes jumps up and down with fall excitement. I have yet to see a pumpkin patch that is in the process of being harvested where it was easy to view the orange devils. It's in their nature to grow under the spread of protective leaves, and that these do show up is a comment on how far advanced this patch is. This must be where you took your nephew apple picking? He's one lucky little guy to be stacking up these wonderful memories, and I always find it fun and refreshing that people take the time and trouble to remember the old ways and bring it to us moderns when we break our routine to relax and enjoy them. It's Fall in SD and you're surely taking full advantage of it..Nice post, clear and crisp as one of those apples, Dan :)PJ
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
