When I was out taking pictures in this park last week, I spotted the baseball diamonds covered in leaves and lined with fall colored foilage. It got me thinking how it actually represented the end of two seasons; baseball and growing seasons both. So I decided to include home plate in this shot to try to show that. Thank you all in advance for all your great comments, and for taking the time to view!! :) Dan

How true it is Dan ... both season's start in the spring & end in the fall. A wonderful capture ... the colors are gorgeous. Very nicely done.

A very thought-provoking image, Dan. How true this is and your inclusion of the home base is very fitting! Now, clone in a batter and let's get one last game in!! :)) Good work!

Excellent title and capture and theme. The trees are lovely with their fall colors. I like home plate being including in the composition. The bare ballfield with it's dead leaves definitly speak of two endings. Well done and thought out.

Great idea Dan and well executed. The trees are brilliant, beautiful Autumn colors, and the ball diamond appears to be retired due to the leaves. Well done!

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand. ~Margery Williams The Velveteen Rabbit~
