From my archives taken just as summer was going away & fall was beginning. This little fountain is a small scale replica of the Falls of the Sioux River & sits in front of a local golf course. The pink rock you see is called quartzite & is mined locally and used in a lot of older structures around town. Thanks so much for visiting & commenting!

A beautiful fountain Dan ... gorgeous "quartzite" colors. I love how the tree branches frame it. A very soothing image ... super great job neighbor.

Good one Dan. I love quartz, especially the pink. I see some in creek beds occasionally and I always pick it up and save it. I like the waterfall also. All that place needs is abench to sit in front of the waterfall and contemplate.

Thanks for leaving that link. There was some very interesting information there, and I'm glad you did that. (This from a gal who used to read the dictionary for fun..lol..) It really does add to a upload if I know a little more about what's going on, but I'm not saying that this capture needed any more appeal to make it the stunner that it is. What a great idea, and you've captured it so well. I'm not sure you need to get a new camera. Looks like you've mastered this one pretty well..ooppps erase erase..you were going to send me your old one when you upgraded..remember? lol....very nice work, Dan :)PJ

This is really neat. The rock structure looked like hay bales in the thumbnail. The image is so clear and the colors are great. I love waterfalls because they are so soothing in movement and sound. Nice post, Dan. Thanks.
