A Hymn Unto the Sun as it Sets: Farewell ol' Sol to you I say , Good-bye my sun and this I pray, That once again you'll pass this way, Yes once again you'll pass this way ! I bid adieu my living light! Rest ye well all through the night , That I may see your morning flight , In the morning shining bright! ......................--- Well, yesterday we bid the sun good morning, and today we are on the opposite side of the sky. While looking up Ol' Sol on the net I came across the above poem and thought it fitting for this capture. Thanks everyone for your visits & comments always!

The poem is very nice and the picture is fantastic. The light almost looks, as if it would burn. Great job.

What a beautiful sunset Dan. The golden colors are just amazing in this. I really like the way you've captured the sun as though it is only seconds from setting behind these trees. A stunning capture for sure. Your poem just adds to the beauty of it and is just perfect for this post. Excellent job my friend- excellent job and one for the favs.

Well, I'm glad to see that you at least stay up long enough to capture the setting sun, and boy howdy, did you ever. It's perfectly taken...just before it sinks away from sight, still leaving a marvelously wide trail of golden color in its wake. The poem you found and shared surrounds this upload in a flawless verbal sentiment that matches and enhances the spectrum of the view....thanks, my friend :)PJ

Dan,
What I Like About Your Composition: I think this is one of your better captures. The sunset's colors are different from most. I like the descending silouette from left to right. I like the sun peeping through the weeds as it goes down.
Suggestions: I think there is too much silouette. Less may be better.
Conclusions: That some fancy commentary for a cowboy. I'm impressed. This is a keeper.

This is really very pretty, Dan. I love the warmth of it and the good feeling I get from it. It is simple and clean and the delicate look of the black branches adds just enough of an interesting texture bordering on the golden sky.
