During the Christmas season they light the waterfalls in Falls Park here with color changing lights, and the whole park is decorated as well. Music plays from loudspeakers, hot cocoa is served and the visitor center, lookout tower and cafe stays open later. It's always a warm atmosphere even if it's cold weather. (as the ice in the falls will attest to) This is one of several shots I will be posting of the falls and park. Thanks as always for taking the time to view and comment!

I sure hope you were inside and not out with the length of time that exposure had to have been. Everything is so clear and I love the blue light on the ice. We get actual blue ice around here, as I'm sure you do, due to the absorption of red and yellow light spectrums..but that can be seen without the lights at night...no wonder we think of blue as a cool color ...I like this a lot, Dan...nice work.. :)PJ

First, I would like to echo alll of the above comments.

In particular, having captured the blue light change was essential in my mind in elevating this one. Like Blumie ... for some reason I can't put my finger on ... this image touches me as well for that fact.

Caveats? Minor and suggestions as always. Don't know if it would have been possible physically to have moved to the right and then turned your camera to the left to include more of the lighted areas ... I say this, as the right and upper right portion is not quite up to par with the Christmas eye candy you have provided us with.

Hey, sometimes we men need 'some directions.' ;o)

It's still very much an image that creates that magical sense of wonder that the season brings. I am glad that you posted this one. :o)

So pretty, Dan. We want a shot of every color! What a great way to celebrate winter and the holidays. The cocoa sounds great! The shot is so nicely composed and very clear.
