This statue is in Falls Park from where my pictures of the frozen falls originated. It is called "Monarch of the Plains", but since there was all the snow around I added Snowy to the title. I took out the pedestal it was on, and tried to match the border to the statues color. Not sure that was the best thing to do..but it's done! lol Thanks for viewing & commenting!

Well, Daniel, I think you did a very fine job of making this fellow part of the scene he's in and I'm sure no one can argue with the addition to his title. Your PS skills are really taking off. Excellent use of the tools as well in matching the frame to the big guy...high marks from me and I think I'll hum a little as I go out..I know..I know..it's still the meds :)

The image is great. The statue is very lovely. Maybe the frame would be better in black, but thats no big thing. All together something I enjoy looking at.

You did a great job getting him to the ground, Dan! He's really nice to look at and I like the color of the framing as well. Are there any real buffalo around there?

To answer Cindy's question, yes there are several small buffalo herds in the area, but they are more numerous in the western parts of South Dakota. Especially in Custer State Park & Wind Cave Nat'l. Park in the Black Hills region of the state.

Very clever of you. And this looks awesome!!!! You know, Dan, I went to college and lived in Rapid City for quite a while, and how I loved those Buffalo...talk about something special that South Dakota has...! And the way you did this photo is really kewl my friend!
Personally, I think the border may have added a bit more dram by being black....but a persons gotta try out stuff eh?..But I like this very much...V
