Yes, I see the pattern. You can definitely tell which direction the wind was blowing by the patterns on the snow sculptures ... like the snow just stopped there with the line of trees & fence behind it. No where else for the snow to go I guess. An excellent post Dan & love the blue sky also.
Lucky you with all that blue sky to photograph. I am jealous!!!! We've had nothing but grey skies with only partial sun for days and days and today is even worse. I just read something about these natural windbreaks and how the trees spread their seeds in winter, but I won't bore you with that >>LOL<<< Yup...for sure there's pattern here, and it's a visual treat, Sheriff..nice work, once again.
This image makes me wonder of the view behind the trees. And of course there is a pattern. I bet you went there a couple of hours before and moved the snow to let it look that way. Smile. Very good shot my friend.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
Nice Dan. I can see the pattern. The snow mounds are perfect. Or is it the tress's behind? or is it the way the wind blows?
Wait, it is the fence between. Thanks, for making me crazy. Great composition.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

yes it is definitely a pattern forming Daniel - nature is mimicking the shape of the trees with those little mounds of snow - so pretty with the grasses peeping through and the contrast with the sky! - sheesh that was nearly poetry! lol!

Oh I have always loved those natural snow fences in South Dakota. I saw some great ones in Wyoming on the move up to Oregon too...I miss so many little things from "home"..and I'm so glad you are here to remind me...This is a lovely shot, I love how the snow kind of snuggles up against the base of those evergreens. And what a gorgeous contrast you got against that blue blue sky...nice stuff my friend. One day I will be at your doorstep to see my old home...:) V
