Taken in the same spot as my Monarch. There were several of these little butterflies flying around also. Not as good as I would have liked but best I could get as these were very skittish, even in comparison to the Monarchs. I dont know what type this is but if you know, please share! Thanks for all your comments! :)

The Madame is so beautiful and I would be afraid, that she would fly away. So good you were brave enough to take that shot and share that lovely view with us.

Don't know Dan but I've seen the same kind around here, small about the size of your thumbnail (on your hand) LOL. Ours around here are more a light blue though. Good one buddy cause I know they are fast and they don't sit still long.

I like the yellow markings around the outside of her wings. This is actually a very detailed shot. Someone will know what it is..other than a butterfly, or is it a moth...hmmm.. :?)

I have no idea if this is a butterfly or moth Dan but I do like the colors in it and I see she's about to have company LOL. A very detailed shot of both of them and how lucky you were she sat still long enough for you to get this great shot.

Such a pretty one she is and I don't believe I have seen one like this before, but then maybe I haven't seen one set down long enough to see the detail since you said they are skitterish, which in this instance makes this all the more wonderful because you got a great shot of her. Beautiful job, Dan!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
