Great capture. I wish you had taken it today and it would be summer again. There I go, wishing time away--I shouldn't do that. Very nice, so clear and he looks intent on what he's doing.
Great post, Sheriff..this is a really good one, but methinks that although it was summer, it must have been toward the end as I see that one flower has given up the ghost already. But I like it there. It reminds me that we had one very loooong late summer/early fall this year. It was great and thanks for the memories.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
A fantastic capture of this monarch Dan. It sure is loving those sunflowers. Makes me wish that it was summer ~ feels like winter is finally settling in.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
