I wanted to post this because I think it helps put into perspective the massive undertaking of the Crazy Horse memorial being carved out. The large heavy equipment is dwarfed by the outline of the horses head as you can see. It appears as if the bulldozer would be able to be parked inside of just the eye of the horse! C):-)

Thanks for posting this Dan. It really does put into perspective the undertaking to complete this project but what a wonderful sight it will be when completed. Beautiful rock formations and colors in this.

Wonderful perspective ... I agree with Greg that the heavy equipment do look like toys. I love the colors & textures of the rock. Excellent capture Dan.

Good post Mr. Dillon. Is that outline painted on the mountain? The equipment does look like toys. Great post to put into perspective this massive undertaking. Excellent post.

To visualize this is one matter, but to actually make it happen blows me away! Thanks for this shot. It is one of those things revealed that you always just wondered about before. I am truly awed that someone can do this. Your photo is wonderful. I wonder if that sketch is made with paint.

And that's just the eye? Boy Howdy, Sheriff...it's hard to even imagine how to conceive of something this huge. I hope my grandkids live to see the completion of this enormous undertaking.

Great, clear photo full of rich textures.

I wonder how many years it will take them to finish it? Hopefully it'll be done while I can still get there to see it! Thanks for sharing this.
