This is a photo filled with my love to my newborn child. My son needs to get some phototherapy with UV-light to help him get rid of some waste products from the blood. This is normal for premature children. I shot this one while holding him in the incubator. His hand was so cute when it held my finger. ^_^

Thank you. I'm glad to hear that Therese. I know my son some day will be an ordinary kid, just like everyboly else. But now he's sooo small if you compare to what most looks like at his age. He's doing great now, yesterday they put him in a more ordinary bed with just a slightly warmed mattress, so he's no longer in an incubator.

I love him above everything else. I know in my heart he will live a long, happy and fruitful life. He's not ill in any way, he just needs to eat as much as he can and get stronger.

Thank you Tony for the great comment. :) Becoming a parent is truly one of the great experiences of life. ^_^ I know that now. I could not have imagined it one year ago.

My little son has been home at my apartment for the first time today BTW. He got a leave from the hospital for 6 hours as a first step to get home on a permanent basis. Everything went really good so I'm really happy about this. He might get home here within the week if we're lucky. :)

Cool to know there are some prematures here! I hope my son one day might be part of some great site like this. ^_^ I hope caedes.net will still be here then but you never know...

It's so beautiful that I might cry. I'm not a mother yet, but I have held my younger cousins when they were just a few days old, and there's nothing in the world like feeling an infant's tiny, perfectly molded hands curling around your finger. Only God could make something so small in size such a great treasure. I hope you win the contest- this one is the greatest example of true love I have seen yet on this site- and I especially hope your son continues to do well, and that he gets to come home to stay soon. God bless you and your family.

(He was only half an hour old then, lying in his incubator) :) My son does continue to do well! :) He got home on a permanent basis from the hospital today, so I've been a very busy man trying to get all the last things in place. ^_^ I guess my middle name soon will be "Insomnia". ^_^ Sooo much to do and so little time. :)

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.

Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
God, I'll never comprehend them!
I couldn't even begin to count them—
any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!
Psalm 139:13-18, The Message

How is your little man doing?
