I had an exchange of files with Avi aka monkeypuzzle so we could play around and maybe evolve a bit in our ways to edit photos. This is the first result of that collaboration. :) I made two versions, tell me what you think. [Ops... I noticed I made a bad mistake with the edit but has fixed it now... Sorry for the repost.]

Sorry guys for the repost. As I said... :/ I noticed a very flagrant mistake that I just couldn't let go...

(I took the liberty of copying your responses from my earlier post. ^_^ Just in case no one will have the time to comment again. :D)

Nice work, I prefer blue ;)

Thank you, I think I like this one best too. But I'm a hardcore sucker for shiny metal textures... so I couldn't make up my mind and uploaded both versions...

I think the blue works best as well, although I couldn't really say why. It's an interesting image - I look forward to seeing more collaborations!

Thank you Simon. I look forward to that too. I'm very curious of what Avi will do to my photos. ^_^

well, I can say...that's rather promising!!^^
very interesting, and very abstract. This blue light is great, and the contrast very nice.

I also like this version better, it has a softness than the other don't possess because of the blue. on the other hand, this one is a more cold feel ( which I prefer in this case) than the other which is more warm with those metal colors...

all in all, a good team work!^^

it's a good idea when I think about it... we should do that more often^^...

I like this one better too, it looks cleaner somehow. Looks like it's unanimous...

Thank you Lucy for the great comment. Avi get the whole credit for the great idea to exchange files to work with. I think it's a great idea too.

And thank you Sam. I agree with you. I still like the qualities of the other version too. :)

Thank you so much Avi. It was a great shot to work with. I had great fun editing it! :) I'm glad you like what I did to your stuff! :)

Great work Klas, I think you have really brought to life the feel of metal with this image. My eye wanders to the background and me thinks it is a trades shop of some sort?

Thank you Darryl. Damn. Hehe. ^_^ I really don't know what it is from the beginning. You'll have to ask Avi. ;-) I don't even know what a trades shop is. Never heard of it before... o_O and it isn't in my dictionary! ^_^

Ok, thanks Avi! It looked like a floor with some sort of tool on the right?

Ah, I could never have guessed that it was from a chopper. It was just some nice shiny piece of metal to me:) Although I've noticed you like helicopters Avi ;-)

Darryl, I think its a bit hard to tell from the edit I made... ;-) I've flipped, cropped and mirrored the image. I think you only see the reflection of the engine thingey in its own surface... In th original shot though I think you can see part of a reflection of the floor with some stuff. I had to look closely to see it and I don't have that part left in this image (I think...^_^ I could be terribly mistaken).

I used a photo I got from Avi. I duplicated the image, cropped, mirrored and rotated it some so the pieces were symetrical to eachother, I don't remember all the exact steps. Then I used the cloning tool to fill the space in the middle. I messed around with the color balance to get the hue. :) Thanks for the comment and for asking. :)

Hehe. :) It is what you make it I guess... It's so heavily edited that it's original shape is hard to define. It's some part of an helicopter engine Avi said earlier on it the thread.
