Second TG I submitt. I'm not terrible happy about it but I don't want to throw it away after all this rendering time. ^_^ I get this strange ripples around the outside of the mountains again... I think I have a too high outlook in my point of perspective but I find this to be an odd thing to go awray in a program like this... Any suggestions? I tried resizing the world and when that didn't work the terrain and no luck so far... Any TG guru care to give an advice?

Very nice. Sam's your guru for those kind of questions. Your resolution is a lot higher that I have mine set, cause I'm not seeing ripples. Beautiful sky. Told ya.

^_^ Thanks Sally. I hope Sam have some good advice for me. :) I'm thinking of going down on the resolution side since it takes forever to get it rendered... I got to get myself a newer Mac... :D

Maybe, because it only renders to 1280 x 960, the stretching causes the effect. Don't really know, but thought it might be worth trying.

Hmmm... I beleive you may have the sky set too small/too high. If I am correct what you are seeing is the "bottom" of the sky. Try changing the height of the sky or increasing it's size. If that doesn't work maybe you could email me the terrain and world files. BTW I like this one much better than your first, the sky in particular (except the ripples of course :-))

A very mysterious sense of wonderment in this. Can't see ripples nor can I offer any help, just admire!

Agree with Sam - I like this one better as well. Love the sky & its colors. I seem to have the same problem with ripples around mountains in my images as well. ;-)

Thank you all for the comments guys. :) Sam I don't think I have this render saved in TG format. I do however work in a modifyed version of this one and I saw the ripples here too when I had a higher outlook on the scenery... I'm currently rendering so I'll get back to you later. I think it's a part of the atmosphere too since the effect gets enhanced when atmospheric glow is on.

Hmmm... I've sat on that problem a couple times in TG. It gives an unrendered look to the water sometimes, I don't know what causes it but one of the downsides to TG I guess. Your picture looks very real! Great job!

This one works for me and reminds me of the inevitable road trip memories of driving in the car after dusk in a strange topography. Perhaps entering the U.S. from N.B. Nice image.

pretty, but jagged. i noticed some "white" dots in the lower right quarter area, and also the water has really sharp points. are those intentional? other than that--this image is great. i faved it.
