With some help from my wife (she has worked with webdesign earlier) I played around in illustrator and came up with this rather low-key design. I realise it is not likely to be a winner. ^_^ I just had some fun. I really like the current design of the site. I used many of the existing element in a slightly new way that fit my own personal sense of aestheticism. My main aim with the design is to make it easy on the eye, easy to load even on a slower connection and in front of anything else I want the images here on caedes.net to be in focus for the viewer and not the design of the site. :) I hope some will like it. This is my version of a gallery overview page.

I agree with your reasons for keeping it low-key and am very fond of the 'minimalist' approach to web design, so, well done. :)

Thank you for the kind comment. It feels a bit odd that this submission should get so low ratings since it's the same basical design as the others and I got a nice c-index on the (3/3) version... ^_^ Anyway I'm glad you liked my aproach Monica. That helps to keep my spirit high. :)

Like this simple design Klas. I would like to see this with a slate-grey or black background! Everything is at your click of a mouse in this design...NO SCROLLING yeh:-)

Thanks for the comments Darryl and Tommy. I was thinking of making versions with slightly different color schemes Darryl. The idea of having to scroll as little as possible is a major factor in my design. Glad you noticed. :)
