This is the best I could do atm. Graeme, I have it available in the size: 1277x1784 pixels or 108,12 mm x 151,05 mm at 300 ppi as a 6.7 MB PSD file... If you want it. ;)
i really like it klas! thats what i was talking about, some pure photographic representation! I ask and you deliver! We're certainly going to have a deck of variety! Good use of symmetry to create your two clubs and mirrored symmetry is no stranger to a deck of playing cards!
Thanks for the comments. I was thinking I didn't need to put any label on it, but I could be wrong. You do have to trie hard to make it into a two of diamonds, hearts or spades though. I was actually using tarot as inspiration for this card. :)
no no no! dont label it!!! aaaaarargh i think its pretty obvious! i mean come on guys! its got to be a 2 and its got to be clubs! or maybe im just too well trained at spotting playing cards!
No, I think it's pretty obvious too. I will probably not change it. I did consider it but I just can't bring myself to do it. It has a nice balance as it is. Adding new elements will disturb that I feel. Thanks for the feedback Graeme, it's appreciated!
Not trying to be mean or anything, but I really don't understand the symbol- how do you expect someone to get a 2 of clubs out of this? I see a King before I see a two...
No, that's ok. I don't take it like that. Kudos on your associational abilities! King of what? It's a mirrored photo of The Staff of Asclepius that I shot from a tombstone in my towns local graveyard.
It's really only a big deal if the king of clubs will be impossible to spot also. I'll consider it and see if I can make it look better any other way, but sadly I have other things to do right now. Thanks for the feedback anyway! :)
i'm with Grim on this, no additions required, the symbols speak for themselves. i like it Klas, lichentastic too. simple & very nicely done. this is gonna be a wicked deck of cards, I'm def gonna buy a pack :~)
Thanks, I did try some new versions because of the comments on that but they looked bloody awful... ^_^ I'm glad you support me on this point too. Lichentastic indeed. ^_^ Hehe...
I think this one's fantastic. I don't see a problem with representation and I love the natural textures and color. I'm not going to play crazy eights with them anyway, I just want 52 pieces of art where the only thing they have in common is the concept. The stone's really beautiful.
