A living jewel, and I like the framing a lot, too!

A very nice macro and great lighting. A smaller f-stop would give you a better depth of field but this is still very well done.

Cool, great amount of detail!
You can actually see it's a female spider (can be seen by looking at the mandibles). This is ready to go into some course text book on spiders for biology.
You should try to find which type of spider it is (maybe send it to the KMMA in Tervuren, they've got a spider department).

Great shot. You definitely did the most of the situation at hands. You have just enough of the spider in the focussing plane to make it work out with just perfectly in that respect. The lighting is the frosting on the cake for me at least, it makes the spider almost luminous. I'm not a big fan of boarders but yours are so discrete that I won't hold it against you. ^_^

WOW! is right. That is one creepy spider. Great picture. I like the lighting too. It's a little dark along the top, but I suppose you really couldn't have done anything to help that.

*shudder* I don't know how you got the courage to take this pic.... I wouldn't
even come within 10 feet of this guy! This is a wonderful picture, even though
it freaks me out! lol! :D

Excellent macro. I took a few pics of those myself a few years ago, that's reminded me to look for them
