It's so hard to be critical of something so wonderful! It's crisp, amazing and a wonderful editing job. Had you not mentioned the bars in your description, I would have never known (and still really can't tell) that they were there in the first place. Into my favorites this goes! :)
im with smoosh, its really hard to be critical of this! it is so sharp and detailed. i really notice the detail in the eye most of all. the reflection isso incredibly clear, it almost looks fake. i love how soft everything looks. i dont see any hint of bars, you did an incredible job of removing them (even if it wouldnt have been perfect im very impressed that you can do that, i would have no idea where to start even) the image is so very clean, just perfect in my mind. great work! ~abby
If you removed bars etc, I can't tell it. Well done. Love the crisp detail. It's like I'm actually laying down with this animal. bGood perspective.

Kristof, amazing focus and a fix well done. Bars are a curse design to drive photographers mad and you've conquered the challenge! Add the excellent lighting, composition and clarity to your enhancements and there's no room for criticism. Thanks for sharing it! - Patty
I've found that the closer you are to the bars the more they are blurred out. This is a stunning capture of a beautiful cat.Your manipulations are very good.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

I cannot critic this, except to say that it is spectacular photography. So perfectly sharp that it almost looks unreal. I was wondering how come this feline seemed free, like in the wild, and who could have gotten so close! And now I know why. Great job removing those bars. thank you for sharing this and you have my full admiration for your skills. :) Josette
I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends.
Sincerely,
Carrie
Photography is a competition...who has the most expensive camera, most expensive photo editor doesn't matter; what matters is the creativity of the person pushing the buttons.
what a beautiful beast Kristof!! this one has gone into my favourites. You did amazing work on this photograph if you have removed the shades from the bars. I have done that myself and it is really difficult to do - you would never know - there are no tell tale signs at all. well done!
This is one of the best photographs of its kind that I have ever seen!! Incredibile clarity and composition. Gotta love those big cats! This one looks like it posed for you. This went straight to my faves.
Fantastic capture. Love the clearity of of the beast, with the blurred contrast in the backround. I could almost count the strands of fur on the face. Excellent job on editing, saturation I'd say is near perfect. Of course, at a zoo the surroundings fit the animals (at least we all hope), and the colors fit perfectly.
Kristof,
It's all been said but I'll repeat it, awesome, fantastic, clarity, composition, colour, it all just reeks of love. I had to laugh on reading your comment, "Feel free to be critical". At a c-index of 96 it seems apparent there was nothing to criticize.
Fantastic shot.
Mikel.
The detail on this is incredible! It's too bad you can't see animals like this every day! Although you probably wouldn't last very long if you could! lol

I was gonna say it's a bit washed out but after reading your comment I see why and despite your problem he/she came out very beautiful! I love that look! :)
