He sure is interesting Kristof and I like his colors. What kind is he? I love to watch the birds but don't know many of the species. Very nice post. Thanks for sharing it. Anita

Kristof, the birds' expression and the angle of that branch make this a very appealing image. Very nicely composed and a interesting subject. A finch? - Patty

This bird is so pretty and yoy caught him at the best moment, with his head cocked. The capture is so sharp. Lovely work Kristoff. :)

An interesting bird K. He seems a little washed out on my screen - not much detail in his highlights. The angle is a little odd too, hard grasp the depth of his features this way. Still a nice composition and subject. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

You do not have to thank me if I leave a comment on your image...unless you really want to. ...this is a new thing to save time. =) All my thanks are becoming, "Thank you for the comments." over and over... If you want to thank me post a comment on one of my shots. I would appreciate it. Help me develop and grow.

This is a wonderful shot of a male Zebra Finch! They are native to Australia, but are raised as pets in the US and other countries as well. I happen to have some as pets myself! Well done....

I have also, had these gentle Zebra Finches as pets. This is a splendid view and his expression is sweet and questioning. Nice how you caught him on the branch. They do have lovely marking and colors. Thanks Kristoff, for letting this guy peek in at us :))

Great zebra finch - was this a wild bird, or did you catch this little guy in an aviary?
