I had to come back to this one because it stuck in my mind. I love the warm golden tones against the blue. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this image. The lighting is perfect! I love seeing the stars in the sky, mimicked by the lights along the shore line. The composition is wonderful with the shot taken alongside the statue from the rear. The statue looks like something from a Hans Christian Andersen tale. This also makes a superb desktop. This is great photography!

Some people are like slinky's, completely useless but still a lot of fun when you push them down the stairs. 8~O
I got lucky and met this in the voting booth and was blown away...all the way to the right. This is a superb piece of art you've presented and I also love the angle from which we are not only looking at the statue, but also the view and how it almost becomes a part of the turtle and rider pose itself..great work :)PJ

Hi Kristoff, the only criticism is that it's too perfect and gives none of the rest of us a chance!!;o)
Just perfect really, I can't think of anything to add to those above except it reminds me of Terry Pratchett's 'Disc World' books [the Great Turtle A'Tuin upon whose great shell the discworld rests, held up by 4 Elephants......]
