i know , it is about the same as genus Lilium # 1 but i wasn't entirely happy with the close crop at the bottem and forgot to blackout a piece of background , so i did it again .
I prefer the composition of your first Lilium image, although this one is very nice too but that yellow bud now placed at the back of the main bloom I find distracting.
Kristof, again, superb as usual. I do like the other one better though. The higher angle on it gives you a better view of the blossom. This one isolates the bloom more and gets it off the edge but actually takes some of the color away because of the angle.
Ok ... it seems I am the contrarian, so far ... as I prefer this one to the original.
The flower itself, has more 'life' to it in this shot. The well defined points and lines of the bloom extending ... add something not quite definable, in my humble opinion.
Add in the stark contrast of the background ... and this is really quite elegant and sophisticated.
And if I may be so bold ... the typeface you used here is more preferrable than the one you used on "genus Lilium # 2." My thoughts here are quite simple ... 'less is more,' and doesn't detract from the star of your images with a clean serif type.
This really is beautiful and makes for a zen-like desktop environment. I like it a lot.
Thanks for sharing your efforts and talents. I do appreciate the very fine quality of your work.
I like the other one better too, and for probably the same reasons as the rest. This view shows less of the flower, and it's so pretty I want to see as much of it as I can. :)
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Your flower shots are some of the best I've ever seen...It's a pleasure just to watch them...All flowers look great when you "take care" of them.Really nice. You always show us the best parts of a flower.Well done!!!
